In January 2022 I started my Major Project focusing on social issues regarding the safety of women.

"Feminism often springs from a sense of injustice, as women we are taught to be careful as it is likely that we will face unpleasant experiences.
My work explores how a woman’s body encounters the world after dark; supported and inspired by Sara Ahmed’s writing.
By creating artificial night scenes in the studio I have created a space for an artist/viewer relationship.
Encounters fearing our safety at night happen perpetually, so much so that it does not matter who or what location.
